Director of Aquatics and Safety, full-time
Are you mission driven? Do you want to have a positive impact on our community? We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Aquatics and Safety who is flexible, enthusiastic, positive and committed to providing quality programming. This person leads the aquatic and safety programs including oversight and the quality delivery of: swim lessons, private lessons, aquatic exercise classes, lifeguard certification classes, CPR and First Aid classes, safety trainings, and aquatic training events; as well as overseeing the Building Supervisor department. The Director of Aquatics and Safety will have direct supervision responsibilities of lifeguards, swim instructors, aquatic instructors, and building supervisors. The goal is to provide an exceptional experience for all who enter our building.
Benefits include:
- $40,821 annual salary

Building Supervisor
The Building Supervisor is the authority figure in the evenings and weekends when Management staff are not in the building. This friendly, observant person is not intimidated when facing confrontation, but does it in a compassionate, respectful and creative manner. The person provides a quality experience for members through the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. This person meets needs and takes care of any issues that arise in the absence of management staff, ensuring that all staff, members and guests are following YMCA policies. This person should be hard-working and productive, showing initiative in evaluating needs and finding solutions. The end results of this position are satisfied, safe members and directed, effective staff.
Hours are weekdays 5pm to 10pm and/or Saturdays 7am to 12pm or 12pm to 4pm, Sundays 12pm to 5pm. Days vary based on our need and your availability.

Gymnastics Instructor
Do you have a passion for gymnastics and want to teach the next generation of gymnasts?! If so, join our team! Our Gymnastics classes range from teaching beginning skills for three year olds to getting gymnasts ready to join a team. Classes take place weekday mornings and evenings. Hours vary based on availability.

Child Watch Monitor
The Child Watch Monitor creates an exciting, safe environment for children while their parents work out. They possess a warm and supportive attitude toward children and are eager to help them thrive. They will assure parents that their children are well cared for in a secure environment and provide a quality experience for children that focuses on the YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Hours vary but consist of weekdays from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from 8:30am to 12pm.

Personal Trainer
The Personal Trainer will provide fitness programming specific to the goals and ability level of the health-seeker. Through education, motivation, and leadership, the personal trainer will assist members in establishing and reaching their overall fitness/wellness goals in one-on-one, two-on-one and possibly small group training sessions. The Personal Trainer will contribute to the overall success of the YMCA by embodying the mission, vision, and core values of the YMCA. Hours vary based on client and trainer schedules.
Requirement: Certified by a nationally recognized organization such as ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, or YMCA Strength and Conditioning (with 1 year of YMCA personal training experience) .

Kids’ Club Site Director, 2023-2024 School Year
Kids’ Club is a before and after school program that takes place at 9 local elementary schools and runs from 6am until school begins and after school until 6pm. Kids’ Club is more than childcare – the staff follow a curriculum which focuses on STEM, the arts, health and fitness, and so much more. The Site Director creates a pleasant inviting atmosphere in which children feel comfortable and secure. This person possesses a warm and supportive attitude toward children and strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, children, and staff. The Site Director provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
Working hours vary from 15 -30 hours per week.

Kids’ Club Caregiver, 2023-2024 school year

This person provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Custodian
This reliable, detail-oriented individual will ensure the facility is clean and free of safety hazards. Our current openings are evenings and weekends. Hours vary between 10 – 25 hours/week based on your availability. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, snow removal, grounds keeping, and other related responsibilities.

Lifeguard
This friendly, confident individual maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. They create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement. and effectively communicate information on aquatics and other YMCA opportunities to members and program participants. American Red Cross Lifeguard certification required, but the Y does offer certification opportunities for qualified candidates.

Swim Instructor
Do you love swimming and want to nurture the next generation of swimmers? Join our team! This friendly, confident individual provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes and must enjoy interacting with children. Hours vary based on availability. We will provide training to qualified candidates so no previous certification is required.
