FITNESS CHALLENGES
PUSH YOURSELF FURTHER
Starting at the end of March the Parkview Warsaw YMCA Healthy Living team will be presenting monthly Fitness Challenges! Some challenges will take multiple days, whereas other challenges can be accomplished in just a few minutes. Participants can win individual prizes, and each participant that completes all 10 challenges will be entered into a raffle to win a $250 gift card to Cloud 9 Multisport.
HOW TO REGISTER EACH MONTH | Visit the Wellness Desk and notify the fitness monitor that you want to participate in the challenge. They will add your name to the challenge board and you are ready to go!
HOW TO SHARE YOUR RESULTS | Show the fitness monitor your calories burned and they will add it to your total on the challenge board.

MARCH 20TH-26TH
Record your calories burned from your workout each day Monday through Sunday! Most calories burned total wins (individual winners). Calories can be burned by using any equipment in the YMCA. Only calories burned at the Y can be counted. Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after with evidence of your calories burned. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

APRIL 17TH-23RD
Complete 100 push-ups every day Monday through Friday (Saturday and Sunday can be used for days missed) for a total of 500 push-ups. Push-ups must be completed at the YMCA. Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

MAY 15TH-21ST
Fastest-time wins (Individual winners. Time includes transition time in between runs and rows and any rest taken) Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion with evidence of your participation. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

JUNE 19TH-25TH
Two challenges for this month! Try a new class in one of our 4 performance rooms offered at the YMCA. Notify your class instructor and fitness monitor of your participation in the class. Can You Hold On Challenge: for time, hold onto a dumbbell (55lbs men, 45lbs women) in each hand for as long as possible. No straps, chalk, or assistance permitted. The longest time for men and women for the Can You Hold on Challenge wins (individual winners). Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

JULY 24TH-30TH
Complete the amounted steps listed on any piece of cardio equipment (or track) of your choice. Use Saturday and/or Sunday to make up any days you have missed. Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.
- Monday: 1000steps
- Tuesday: 2000steps
- Wednesday: 3000steps
- Thursday: 4000steps
- Friday: 5000steps
- Saturday & Sunday: makeup days if needed

AUGUST 21ST-27TH
Complete as many walking lunges as possible in 1 minute. Can be done around the upstairs track and can be attempted multiple times throughout the week. Most lunges in 1-minute wins! (Individual winners) Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion with evidence of your participation. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

SEPTEMBER 18TH-24TH
Complete 1,000 mountain climbers within the week. Can be done all in one day or spread out throughout the week. Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

OCTOBER 23RD-29TH
Fasted-time wins (individual winners)! Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion with evidence of your participation. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

- 30kb swings (40lbs)
- 15 burpees
- 30 Russian twists with medicine ball (20lbs/12lbs)

NOVEMBER 13TH-19TH
Based on the alphabetical list with exercises paired to letters. Perform a workout based on the letters of your first name (no abbreviating your name). Please notify the fitness monitor prior to your participation in the challenge and notify them after completion with evidence of your participation. The fitness monitor will record your results and write your info on the challenge board.

120 ACTIVE MINUTES A WEEK
SPRING INTO FITNESS
Complete 120 minutes of activity per week during the course of the challenge. To track your activity minutes you will use the YMCA App or record your minutes in the challenge binder at our Wellness Desk.

GROUP EXERCISE CHALLENGE
GROUP EXERCISE BINGO
Compete in a fun group exercise bingo challenge! Each week participants will receive a bingo card to attend their choice of water or land-based group exercise classes. Complete 4 bingo squares a week throughout the duration of the challenge. Those who complete the challenge will be entered into a raffle for a one-month free membership!
