Social Responsibility
As a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y was created in response to social challenges and remains to this day a lifeline in communities around the world. The Y understands the challenges that keep individuals from reaching their full potential and responds with services and support which help people to be self-reliant, productive and connected to the community.
Throughout the year we will offer opportunities for Y members to give back by collecting clothes, supplies, food or gifts. As you enter the Y and walk through the lobby, there will often be a way for you to contribute to your community. Around Thanksgiving we will hold an Operation Thanksgiving Dinner project and at Christmas an Adopt-a-Family project.
