Y Members Serving the Local Community Together

Monday, August 13, 2018

The Kosciusko Community YMCA announces another Togetherhood™ project for its members and the community to get involved in that will serve the local homeless shelter, Fellowship Missions. Togetherhood™ is the YMCA’s member volunteer program that invites Y members to lead and participate in volunteer service projects that benefit the community where they live.

This project on August 25, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. will partner with Fellowship Missions to clean, work outdoors and grill out lunch. Register to participate in the project at the YMCA’s Welcome Center. Even if you’re not a Y member but you’ve always wanted to serve at Fellowship Missions, please join us.

Togetherhood™ was created to strengthen communities by allowing Y members to lead and run convenient, fun and rewarding service projects as part of the Y member experience. By bringing people together in service to their neighborhoods, Togetherhood™ is designed to build both individual and community well-being. Y members work as a committee in partnership with their Y to select, plan and run projects outside the Y that benefit the people and organizations in their community. Many of the projects will include a partnership with another community non-profit. This year’s committee is made up of Paul Dillon, Sandy Hatcher, Marilyn Kincaide, Krista Nicholson, Dan Pacheco, Susan Potter, Betsy Ray, and Cheryl Shepherd.

If you have any questions about serving through the Togetherhood™ program at Fellowship Missions please contact Summer Zimmer at 574-269-9622 x220.
