You’ll find our April Member of the Month in the lobby or Wellness Center or track or pool several times a week for several hours, sharing her smile with everyone. When Wendi started as a member almost a year ago she didn’t know anyone. Coming from Fort Wayne for a job at Big R, she isn’t even from this community. But she made friends quickly at the Y, by introducing herself to everyone she meets. She comes in for 5 hours, 3 days a week and runs on the track, lifts weights and swims in between her times chatting with people. Her favorite is the pool, and her 2nd favorite is lifting weights. She learned to lift weights by watching other people. Wendi says, “I really love the people here. Come here and you’ll meet a lot of people who are very nice.”
