Free Day at the Y, when you bring in a donation

Friday, January 22, 2016

On February 2 from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Kosciusko Community YMCA, both the Parkview Warsaw and the North Webster branches, will be offering free admission to anyone who brings in a donation of a paper product. They will be collecting rolls of paper towels, packages of toilet paper and boxes of tissues for donation to the Beaman Home.

This collection is part of the YMCA’s Togetherhood program, which connects Y members with opportunities to serve in their community. On February 20, the items donated during the free day on February 2nd and through a drive going on in the Y’s lobby, will be given to the Beaman Home in conjunction with a group from the Y going to the home to volunteer to help organize and clean.

If you’d like to be part of volunteering on February 20th with the Y at the Beaman Home, please sign up for Togetherhood at the Welcome Center or contact Summer Zimmer at szimmer@kcymca.org

The Y is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. All the efforts and offerings of the Kosciusko Community YMCA are guided by the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Every day, the Y works side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure everyone regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. In 2016, the Kosciusko Community YMCA provided $168,201 in financial assistance to make sure that happens.
