Youth Learn Their First Basketball Skills at the Y

September 15, 2017

Registration is going on now for Division 1 and 2 of Youth Basketball, for age 3 to 1st grade at the Kosciusko Community YMCA. Youth Basketball is a great opportunity for kids to start learning the basic skills of basketball-from the organization who created it! Equal playing time, safety, sportsmanship, cooperation, family involvement and having fun will be emphasized over winning.

There will be four divisions in the Youth Basketball League, one division for kids ages 3 to 4 and the other for age 5 through first grade will be playing in October. Division 3 and 4, for grades 2-6 will be playing in January. This fall there will be a 20-25 minute practice followed by a 20-24 minute game on Saturday mornings at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA for both division 1 and 2. Each division will play with age appropriate equipment.

Games will be played on Saturdays from October 21 to December 2, with no games November 25. Registration will continue through October 20 with a late fee after October 15. You do not have to be a Y member to play. Register online at or at either of our branches. Contact Zane Gard at with any questions.
