This fall, the Kosciusko Community YMCA will be launching a new cheer team- The YMCA's Warsaw Legacy Elite. Teams will be offered to athletes 5-14 years of age based on age and skill level. The team will take place from September to April, with the first registration and evaluation for team placement being on Wednesday, September 6, 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 10, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Cheer participants will need to be present for both sessions.
Teams will have one team practice and one tumbling practice each week. They'll learn a competitive cheer routine which includes tumbling, jumping, stunting and dance and will then compete from January through April.
No previous experience is necessary to join. The Warsaw Legacy Elite emphasizes fun, skill acquisition and teamwork. Participants must be Y members.
To lead up to the start of the team, the Y is offering Saturday Cheer Clinics for ages 5-14 on August 5, 12, 19. Kids will develop skills in tumbling, stunting, jumps and dance and build confidence in front of a crowd.

Not only is the YMCA a place to work out, it has become like a second home. A place where the kids look forward to coming, a place where we as a family have come together to better ourselves.
