On Friday, March 2 the Kosciusko Community YMCA, both the Parkview Warsaw branch (from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and the North Webster branch (5:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 3:00- 8:00 p.m.) will be offering free admission to anyone who brings in a new or gently used elementary school-aged book. Admission is good for one person. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by a parent.
The books will be used in the Y's Multi-generational Room and for summer camp.
Those who come in with a donation for the free day will also receive a coupon for $25 off the joiner's fee when they bring in 5 non-perishable food items before the end of March. For more information about the free day or about membership, contact the Y at 574-269-9622.
Wow, at my age I thought I should know already what to avoid eating, but I learned SO many beneficial tips from the Diabetes Prevention Class. And I'm so happy to say that today, a year later, I'm no longer in the "pre-diabetic" category, and know how to "stay out of it"!!!
