A Kids' Club Caregiver, 2017-2018 school year

We are now hiring for the 2017-2018 school year! the Caregiver ssists the Site Director in the supervision and management of the site creating a pleasant inviting atmosphere in which children feel comfortable and secure. Possesses a warm and supportive attitude toward children. Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, children, and staff. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Hours are 6am until school starts and/or after school until 6pm.

A Kids' Club Site Director, 2017-2018 school year

The Kosciusko Community YMCA provides before and after school childcare at 10 local elementary schools through our Kids Club program. The Kids Club Site Director creates a pleasant inviting atmosphere in which children feel comfortable and secure. This person possesses a warm and supportive attitude toward children and strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, children, and staff.

Under the guidance of the Director of Youth Development, the Site Director will follow provided curriculum to implement daily age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.This person provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

We are positively impacting our community one child at a time!

Hours:

Before school - 6am to 8:45am

After school - 3:30pm to 6pm

Site Directors may work up to 28 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid.

Building Supervisor

This friendly, observant person needs to be an authority figure who is not intimidated when facing confrontation, but does it in a compassionate, respectful and creative manner. The person provides a quality experience for members through the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. This person meets needs and takes care of any issues that arise in the absence of management staff, ensuring that all staff, members and guests are following YMCA policies. This person should be hard-working and productive, showing initiative in evaluating needs and finding solutions. The end results of this position are satisfied, safe members and directed, effective staff. Available shifts Fridays 5pm - 9pm and weekends.

Child Watch/MG Caregiver

The YMCA provides two options for kids to hang out while their parents work out. The Child Watch/MG Caregiver provides a safe, warm and welcoming environment for all children and parents. Provides a quality experience for children while their parents work out at the Y. Child Watch/MG are open Monday thru Saturday, 8:30am to 1pm, and Monday thru Friday, 4pm to 8pm (7pm on Fridays). Hours vary based on availability

Custodian

This reliable, detail-oriented individual will ensure the facility is clean and free of safety hazards. Shifts vary throughout the day. May include some weekend shifts. Hours vary between 10 - 25 hours/week based on your availability. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities.

Director of Operations

We are hiring a full-time Director of Operations who is passionate about the YMCA and has the enthusiasm to lead our team to the next level. The DOO ensures successful operation of the organization, including, program development and evaluation, volunteer recruitment, staff supervision, community relations, collaborations, facilities, risk management, budgeting and financial results. Bachelor's degree required and five years of professional YMCA experience preferred.

Delivers excellent customer service in promoting YMCA memberships, programs and services to advance the mission and strategic goals. Serve as first contact for prospective and new members, determines their needs through interview process and offers solutions and options to meet their needs and expectations. Engages all members by providing support in all aspects of their membership. Current needs: weekdays 4-8pm and weekends.

This individual delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants.
