The Stenoish Family

It's been so fun to watch the kids grow up within the YMCA organization. And as an added bonus, some of our closest friends are families that we've met through the Y. We feel extremely fortunate to have such awesome opportunities for the kids to have fun, stay active, and make new friends, and we are excited to continue exploring all that the YMCA has to offer!

The Stenoish Family

When my husband and I first moved to Warsaw in 2008, we were thankful to have a YMCA in the community that provided exercise facilities for us to utilize. Now, ten years later, the majority of our time at the Y is spent taking advantage of the amazing opportunities for our four young children. We've participated in the swimming and gymnastics programs for several years, as well as in the youth soccer and basketball programs. My husband enjoys coaching the kids' sports teams, and they always look forward to playing for "Coach Dad". It's been such a good experience for them to learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship, as well as develop their skills. We love the enthusiasm and dedication of the Y staff, and my children are happy to see their instructors each week. It's been so fun to watch the kids grow up within the YMCA organization. Wow, at my age I thought I should know already what to avoid eating, but I learned SO many beneficial tips from the Diabetes Prevention Class. And I'm so happy to say that today, a year later, I'm no longer in the "pre-diabetic" category, and know how to "stay out of it"!!!
