The reality is I'm not getting any younger, so staying fit keeps me from feeling old. Unlike other workout facilities, I can enjoy the drug-free and Christian atmosphere.

Brian Gagye

My wife and I own and operate Special O.P.S. K-9 Academy Inc. in North Webster. My job is very diverse, stressful but at the same time rewarding. My job entails all aspects of training for dogs, from police to security to private homeowners'. I also teach firearms training and self-defense. I served in the Marine Corps as a Scout Sniper. As a result of my particular job, I suffer from PTSD, disc degeneration in my lower back, and a fractured vertebra. I have very little free time, but when I do, I spend it at the Y in North Webster. I find that it is my sanctuary for stress relief. I need the intense workouts to keep my back strong. The reality is I'm not getting any younger, so staying fit keeps me from feeling old. Unlike other workout facilities, I can enjoy the drug-free and Christian atmosphere. My wife, Stephanie, suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, and working out helps her condition immensely. She also loves attending Rissa's Zumba class. This class gives her a high cardio workout without feeling like she is actually working out. "It's like a fun dance class which makes working out easier to enjoy". As business owners we also enjoy the opportunity the Y gives us to meet and talk with people from all walks of life. I have dedicated my life to serving my God and my country and now like the Y, I am also dedicated to serving my community.

I'm beyond thankful for the relationships that my time at the Y has given me and for all of the love and compassion that not only my fellow employees have shown me, but also the other members.
