YMCA Pool Policies

Towel Service/Lockers
Towels are provided for a small service fee. Towels can be purchased as needed daily or paid for in advance.
Lockers are for daily use only and locks are not provided. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property. Be sure to keep your locker locked at all times.

Locker Rooms
Children under the age of 4 may enter the locker room with their opposite-sex parent/legal guardian. Family changing areas are recommended and are located near the warm water training pool. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless they are enrolled in a YMCA class.

Pool Rules
1. Please take a shower before entering the pool.
2. The lifeguard must be present before you can enter the pool.
3. Food, gum, drinks, street clothes, and running on the deck are not permitted.
4. Cannon balls, flips, hanging on the lane lines and staying near the stairs are not permitted.
5. Diving is only permitted in the deep end between the orange cones.
6. Jumping into water from the bottom shelf and diving into the deep end of the main pool are permitted assuming there are not swimmers in the immediate area.
7. Balls, flotation devices, toys and width swimming (beyond the diving buoys) are not permitted in the deep end.
8. Children between 6 months and 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older in the pool. Children not potty trained must wear tight fitting rubber pants or swim diapers.
9. Grabbing the basket rim, throwing balls from the deck and splashing small children are not allowed.
10. A child may not ride on parents.
11. Swimmers need to obey all lifeguards, instructors and rules.

Lap Swim Rules
1. Swimmers should notify other swimmers if they are using the same lane.
2. If anyone in your lane is not wearing goggles, you are not allowed to wear hand paddles.

Sauna Rules
1. Sauna use is limited to those over 16.
2. Those who are pregnant, diabetic or have a heart condition should not use the sauna.
3. There is a 10 minute time limit in the sauna.
4. No water or liquid on sauna rocks.
5. No plastic exercise or sauna suits.
6. No sleeping or exercising in the sauna.
7. In consideration of others, please bring a towel to sit on in the sauna.
8. Shower before entering the pool area. This is a state law.
9. If you take reading material into the sauna, please take it out with you when you leave.
10. Appropriate attire is required.
