Mission Statement and Core Values
“To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.” The Kosciusko Community YMCA Board of Directors reaffirms our commitment to the mission and strongly encourages the YMCA staff to be intentional and purposeful in modeling and in teaching character development based on Christian principles, which taken together, are like a code of conduct, founded on Biblical teachings.  Therefore, we direct our staff members to incorporate a curriculum of age appropriate character development based on the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility into our programs. By emphasizing character development in all of our programs, we challenge youth and adults to accept and demonstrate positive values.

Video Surveillance
For the safety and security of our members, the facility and grounds are under 24 hour video surveillance.

Annual Support
There are many good reasons to provide annual support for the Kosciusko Community YMCA. We have a unique approach to our work with the community, an approach that connects back to the our mission. As a not for profit organization, your financial support helps to provide memberships and program participation for those in need. Each year, we provide tens of thousands of dollars in financial assistance to people in our community. On a yearly basis we seek our members’ assistance in an Annual Support Campaign. Every dollar that you donate stays right here in our county to benefit your friends and neighbors. Please consider donating to help support our Christian mission. Donations to enhance and continue programs are welcome and tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Need-Based Scholarships
If you wish to join as a member or participate in programs and cannot afford to do so, need-based scholarships, funded by YMCA Annual Support , are available for those who qualify.

Volunteers
Volunteers are essential to our program. As a volunteer you have the opportunity to help make your community a healthier and safer place to live. You can make a difference! Apply to become a volunteer today. Applications are available at all three locations.

Military Personnel
The Kosciusko Community YMCA respects and admires community members who serve in the United States Armed Forces and understands that access to training facilities provides special support for these individuals. We are committed to providing health and wellness support to families of service personnel during times when a parent is deployed. Please see the Welcome Center for details.

Youth Supervision
Children under the age of 4 may enter the locker room with their opposite-sex parent/legal guardian. Family changing areas are recommended for families with older children and are located by the warm water pool. In the pool, children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult unless they are enrolled in a YMCA class.

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied into the facility by a parent/legal guardian, unless they are enrolled in a supervised class. Children under the age of 10 may be in the Youth Center but must be signed in by and picked up by a parent.
