Building Supervisor The building supervisor meets needs and takes care of any issues that arise in the absence of management staff - constantly doing rounds in the building and ensuring that all staff, members and guests are taken care of and safely following the rules. This friendly, observant person needs to be an authority figure who isn't intimidated when facing confrontation, but does it in a compassionate, respectful, and creative manner. Provides a quality experience to participants that focuses on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. Prefer age 21 or older. Needed from 5:00-7:30 a.m. on weekdays.
Custodian This reliable, detail-oriented individual will ensure the facility is clean and free of safety hazards. Shifts are 6:00-10:00 p.m. on weekdays. May include some weekend shifts. Hours vary between 10 – 25 hours/week based on your availability. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities.
Gymnastics Instructor Instructs group classes, provides excellent service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Hours are less than 10 a week in the evenings and some mornings.
Kosciusko Community YMCA is hiring Kids' Club Site Directors and Caregivers for the 2014-15 school year at Harrison, Jefferson, Lincoln, Leesburg, Madison, Washington and Eisenhower schools and at South Whitley Elementary. Hours are 6am until school starts and/or after school until 6pm.
Lifeguard Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Effectively communicate information on aquatics and other YMCA opportunities to members and program participants.
Swim Instructor Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes.
