Adult Sports Referee Provides quality experience for members participating in adult sports leagues through direct leadership of adult sports games and accurate enforcement of rules. Is not intimidated when facing confrontation and communicates in a respectful manner. Promotes community involvement in sports leagues and effectively conveys program expectations to program participants.
Building Supervisor This friendly, observant person needs to be an authority figure who is not intimidated when facing confrontation, but does it in a compassionate, respectful and creative manner. The person provides a quality experience for members through the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. This person meets needs and takes care of any issues that arise in the absence of management staff, ensuring that all staff, members and guests are following YMCA policies. This person should be hard-working and productive, showing initiative in evaluating needs and finding solutions. The end results of this position are satisfied, safe members and directed, effective staff. Hours vary based on availability but are approximately 10-25 hours per week. Available shifts are 5:00-7:30 a.m., 5:00-10:00 p.m. and weekends.
Custodian This reliable, detail-oriented individual will ensure the facility is clean and free of safety hazards. Shifts vary throughout the day. May include some weekend shifts. Hours vary between 10 – 25 hours/week based on your availability. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. May complete duties related to window washing, meeting set up, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities.
Gymnastics Instructor Instructs group classes, provides excellent service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Hours are less than 10 a week in the evenings and some mornings.
Kosciusko Community YMCA is hiring Kids' Club Site Directors and Caregivers for the 2015-2016 school year at Harrison, Jefferson, Lincoln, Claypool, Madison, Mentone, Washington, Eisenhower schools and at Pierceton Elementary. Hours are 6am until school starts and/or after school until 6pm.
Lifeguard Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Effectively communicate information on aquatics and other YMCA opportunities to members and program participants.
Member Services Delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes memberships and programs, and maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby area. 5:00-9:00 a.m. shift is a specific need.
Swim Instructor Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes.
Wellness Center Monitor Monitors the fitness center equipment and provides excellent service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Youth Healthy Living Coordinator The Youth Healthy Living Program Coordinator is someone who is passionate about getting youth involved in physical activity, is organized, able to multi-task and has experience with youth. This part-time position works mainly evening and weekends with a maximum of 15 hours per week.
